Tennis Betting / Types Of Bets
There are a variety of bet types available on tennis games. The simplest form of bet is to pick the outright winner of a tournament. For the major tournaments these bet types are usually available well in advance and it is often an advantage to bet early because the odds tend to be higher. Once the tournament begins the odds for remaining players usually reduce as players are eliminated.
Various bookmakers offer bets on most things that happen during a tennis match. Match betting allows you to pick the winner of any individual match, and set betting allows you to bet on the total number of sets that a certain player will win. You can also bet on who you think will win the 1st set and the final score of a tennis match by sets. More complex betting options with higher odds allow you to bet on any variation of the balance of sets won in any match, the total number of tie-breaks in the match, and the amount of games handicap a player would need in order to win the match. The most exciting tournaments to bet on are the four Grand Slams.
