Betting On Soccer

Soccer is the most watched sport in the world and the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup had an estimated 715.1 million people watching the final on television. Because it is so popular, bookmakers have devised a wide variety of bet types. The simplest form of soccer betting is match betting, also known as a head-to-head wager, where you bet on whether a team will win, lose or draw in a game. -> Latest Soccer Odds

A League

The Australian Soccer League is known as the A-League and was founded in 2004. There are a total of 11 teams with 10 from Australia and one from New Zealand, and in 2011 a 12th club, Sydney Rovers, will also join. The season runs from early August to February, during the warmer months of the year, and consists of home and away rounds where each team plays every other team three times.
